Wanted to try some more soft overhead lighting, so Sherwin, Mike, and I went on the porch to snap some shots. We alternated backgrounds between what we could find, a wool-ish blanket and a green cardboard box. Make it work.
Fire right outside my apartment last night. We arrived before the first firetruck did, but then 8 fire trucks arrived and about 50 firemen (cool).
Photo op
One of these photos here is a cropped version of another, and it tells a completely different story. I think it’s a far more interesting photo, but I wanted to show both to give you an idea.
Just a little more than a year ago my family went down to Florida.
I don’t like Florida, and we didn’t go for a vacation either, quite the opposite, photo-taking ensued.
My dad, Raafat, can be seen vaguely in two photo above, he’s really a great subject.
I am the Alpha and the Omega. The beginning and the end.
This is part of something I’ve been working on this fall via writing, drawing and printmaking. It’s based on Proverb 12:15, “The way of a fool seems right to him, but a wise man seeks council.” When I take better photos of everything I will write more about it.
Yep, digging this.
Scouting today in Dorcester, Ma, at Mather School, the first elementary school in America.
DPing for Talin Avakian’s film, parts of which take place in an elementary school. Underexposing my shots, trying to go for a more unique perspective using natural lighting.
Cinematography final, please watch, I think you’ll like it.
Current cut for ‘Sky is Limit’, formerly ‘Marlon’.
Critique so far is: Marlon’s desire in the beginning to join the circus needs to be clearer. As viewers, we want to understand why he loves the circus, which will make the ending more bittersweet.
Titled ‘In Silence’
Meant to be displayed in a gallery setting and looped.
