Saw Pelham 123
So i saw Pelham 123 last weekend and I’ve collected my thoughts on it. Ironically, to begin, the only part I thought was good was the ending. Obviously I wont tell you what happens, but I can say that it was very original and entertaining. My best friend (marlon to those who know) agreed with me when i suggested that the ending would have been 10x better if it ended like this *spoiler begin*
In the end the crazy john travolta was basically daring denzel to shoot him in a standoff on a bridge. Travolta is crazy, threatening that if he doesnt shoot him in 10 seconds he will take out a gun and shoot him. Why? like i said, travolta is a nut in this movie. Now there is a police squad in the distance slowly approaching the two with guns drawn. Travolta finally hits 0 and whips out his pistol when denzel finally shoots him. The police yell at denzel to put the gun down (because he isnt a cop and they dont know who he is). what would have been way better is if when denzel shot travolta, the cops shot denzel. In reality, assuming the cops dont know how denzel is in the movie (and these ones dont) then they would open fire on denzel as soon as he shot travolta. He hits the ground and Travolta is smiling at him just before he dies, followed by denzel.
Anyways, the movie (in my weird opinion) took itself to seriously and adapted to the typical summer action flick unfortunately.
2/5 C- one star, whatever, it’s a decent flick.
