Is District 9 actually good? Critics think it’s one of the best. wtf?

Who knew that one of the weirdest movies out there actually had a shot? I actually want to see it now, and even thought I haven’t seen it, you don’t necessarily see the critics going this crazy over something like this, so you might as well watch is so you can say you did.
