
Essentially a master of his own materials, David Thorpe uses only cut paper to assemble most of his artwork (and all of the artwork shown here. Some of his pieces are quite simple and geometric while others of his are so complex you cannot see the line where he is even cutting. All of his pieces have a play on this simple futuristic life living within a natural world, and though it may seem peaceful it seems a lot of the time he suggests the fragility that exists between these two things. Nonetheless, all of his piece have a strong sense of balance and composition that you can expect from his work.
