Nostalgia//MLK never looked so good
About a year ago I reposted this first image I found when I was on tumblr. I found that this was made by an artist who refers to himself online as “dan23”, this was found obviously from his flickr account, but a google search reveals a great amount about him, but no last name. It’s pretty clear a deals with both digital and hand-made art dealing with famous world icons like Malcolm X, MLK, and Ghandi and even pop stars. The images after this first one of MLK are the ones that I’ve enjoyed the most after looking through his flickr account. This is some very visually savvy art, and recreates old icons in a way that makes them seam so new and lively.
